COMPULSORY PURCHACE
A Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) is made to enable a public body such as a local authority to buy land or buildings which Parliament has decided is in the public interest. If your property becomes the subject of a CPO you need to obtain specialist advice promptly.
We will value your interest and enter into negotiations with the acquiring authority in order to obtain the best possible price for you. You will also be eligible for disturbance costs. The general principle of CPO compensation is that you should be no worse or better off in financial terms after the acquisition.
